Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) offers exceptional chemical resistance, high thermal resistance, low friction coefficient and non-stick properties. It is physiologically inert, but has low mechanical strength.

Used in seals, anti-corrosion coatings, chemical and medical applications.
